JOINT PETITION DIVORCE
This is the QUICKEST & the CHEAPEST divorce for the majority of our clients.
In a Joint Petition Divorce, both YOU & your spouse must AGREE to the divorce, dividing up property, debt, child visitation, custody & support — if you have child(ren).
NOTE: If your spouse is NOT willing to sign the papers you will want to do a COMPLAINT DIVORCE…
If you DON’T know where your spouse is at you will want to do a PUBLICATION DIVORCE.
Now back to the Joint Petition Divorces!
We will prepare ALL of the divorce documents you need. Both you and your spouse will need to sign the papers.
If you and your spouse have any minor child(ren), both two of you will need to take an online parenting class … that costs $39 for each parent before the court grants you the divorce.
All of the documents are then taken to the courthouse. The filing fees at the courthouse are $299. This fee is to the courthouse and NOT to us. (We’ll tell you about our fees at the bottom of this paragraph)
Once the divorce has been filed at court, it typically takes 1-3 weeks for the Decree of Divorce to be signed finalized.
Once the judge signs off on the Decree of Divorce, you are OFFICIALLY divorced.

In a Complaint for Divorce, your spouse REFUSES to sign the divorce papers AND you know their home or work location, so that we can hire a process server to serve them the papers.
You MUST know where your spouse is at, be it their home address, work address or wherever in order to use this option.
If your spouse is MISSING and you do NOT know their location, you must use the Publication Divorceoption.
With the Complaint for Divorce, we prepare all of your divorce papers that are required. Only you need to sign the paperwork.
The divorce papers are then filed and we will pay your $299 court filing fee. We will also get your Summons issued (meaning we get permission by the court to serve your spouse).
We will hire a process server in whatever city your spouse lives at to serve him/her the divorce papers.
Once your spouse has been served — they have 20 days exclusive of the date of service, to respond back to the courthouse if they wish to contest it.
If your spouse DOES NOT respond, we will file a Default at the courthouse — which allows the remaining papers & Decree of Divorce to be signed by the judge & have your divorce finalized.
NOTE: Keep in mind that IF your spouse DOES respond to the divorce paperwork we serve to them — you will need to go to court to fight it out.
If your spouse hires an attorney to represent them / a trial can potentially end up costing you and them SEVERAL thousands of dollars.
If your spouse DOES RESPOND with an attorney — we can refer you to a good, inexpensive attorney. We do NOT fight divorce cases in court at our office.
In most cases, however, a spouse will NOT go through the expense & time to respond unless there are major child custody or property issues.
Once the Complaint divorce has been filed, it typically takes 8-10 weeks for the Divorce to be finalized.
A typical Complaint Divorce will cost you on average $3,000 – $5,000 STARTING OUT with a Las Vegas divorce attorney. You save money filing with us.

Either way — we can still get you divorced. However, this is typically the LONGEST & MOST EXPENSIVE Divorce Option. It typically takes 4-6 months for the whole process to be completed.
We will prepare all of your divorce paperwork that is needed and do EVERYTHING for you.
Once we are done preparing your divorce papers, you will sign them at our office.
We will then take all the divorce papers & file it at the courthouse. We will pay your $299 court filing fee out of the funds that you have paid us.
We will then hire a process server to ATTEMPT to serve your spouse at their last known address & we will hire them to do the due diligence search that is REQUIRED by the courthouse.
We will then pay the Newspaper that the court approves us to publish too — and run your Divorce Notice for the required 5 week time frame.
Once the 20 days time to respond has ended after the last publication ran … we will file the Default to the courthouse and then we will file your Decree once the court allows us to.
We will follow your case from start to finish & when the judge has signed the Decree … we will pick it up & have it ready for YOU to pick up from our office.
If you need a payment plan we can get you started with ONLY $500 down. This is due before we prepare your divorce papers.
Again, a publication divorce is NOT an easy or a fast divorce. It typically takes 4-5 months for the Divorce to be finalized. If you can find your spouse that is ALWAYS the easiest & cheapest route.
